We were up again this morning at 6 a.m. Joe went for a quick swim while I worked on the blog for Saturday and uploaded pictures. When he got back, we had some coffee and then went to the 7-11 store (there is one on every corner--much like Starbucks in the US) to get some candles for Julian's birthday brownie (I had made some brownies in Seattle and brought them with us to snack on, but they made a fine birthday "cake" for Julian as well).
After we sang happy birthday to a still sleepy Julian, we had some light breakfast and then caught up on e-mail before getting cleaned up.
Wit then offered to drive me and Joe to the weekend plant market. What a cool place! Joe took many pictures, some of which you can see here:

After the plant market, Wit took us to the Pattaya Floating Market. It is basically a market over water (although most of it is not really floating). Very new and nicely done. It was very crowded, though, so after walking around for a few minutes, we decided to come back on a weekday when it is not so crowded. We came home and barely missed the rain starting, although it was pretty light.

You can see some pictures from the floating market here:When we got back to the house, Julian was waiting for us and wanted to go to Homeworks to pick up some parts to repair the pump for the sprinkler system. Homeworks is the equivalent of Home Depot in the US, although it is much nicer and you can ALWAYS find someone to help you. They don't call the the "Land of Smiles" for nothing!
After Homeworks, we went into Pattaya city and wandered around a bit and picked up a few groceries. After arriving back home, a short nap was in order, followed by a walk around the neighborhood, and finally a dip in the pool. Then it was time for Julian's big birthday dinner.
Julian elected to go to a restaurant called Mignon, which has both Western and Thai food. We all ended up having Western food, which was quite good. But since it was Western food, we didn't bother to take pictures, LOL!
But we did take a picture of Julian and Wit, which you can see here.
After a filling meal, we walked around a bit before returning home to watch another episode of Dexter and then call it a day.
Tomorrow: Back to the floating market for lunch, dinner on the waterfront at Preecha.
